Realistic expectations
AI upscaling fills in missing detail by predicting what it would look like at higher resolution. It can't recover information that was never there. Tiny blurry text won't become readable. But low-res photos of clear subjects will look dramatically sharper.
Tips for best results
- Start small. Best on images under 1000×1000 px. Larger images take longer and use more memory.
- Avoid already-sharp images. Upscaling a 4K photo just produces a bigger file, not a better one.
- JPEG artifacts will be amplified. If possible, start from PNG or the original source.
